About Me

Unlocking Potential | Developing Wellbeing | Harnessing Motivation

Simon020

Hi, I'm Simon

I’m Simon Worth, a certified coach, mental health advocate and founder of Worth Talking.
I love helping people achieve all that they want from life and to feel like they are reaching their full potential. I want them to achieve their goals and be able to overcome any challenges they may be experiencing.

I started coaching following an extremely challenging period in my personal life. I was at a point where I thought that if my life were to end tomorrow, my overriding feeling would be that I hadn't reached my potential or achieved many of the goals I had set for myself.

I started working with a coach myself and slowly and surely started to create a vision of the life I wanted to live and a plan to achieve it. I found purpose.

Coaching and developing others has long been a passion of mine, both through my professional career developing the staff I managed and also through coaching rugby. I’m an RFU Level 2 Rugby Coach and have coached both adults and children, men and women, boys and girls.

My biggest passion though is Formula One!

As a result of my experiences with coaching in my personal and professional life, I decided to develop my passion for helping people and launch my own professional service. So, Worth Talking was born!

My training & experience

I studied with The Centre for Coaching at The British Psychological Society in London. I’m a Member of The Association for Coaching and an Affiliate Member of the International Society for Coaching Psychology.

Additionally I hold Certificates and membership with The Institute for Leadership, The Association of Business Mentors and I’m an adult and Youth Mental Health First Aider.

Before I ventured down this path, I worked in a management capacity for various organisations, from start-ups to independently-owned companies and large corporations. I’ve worked across account management, sales and business development, business analytics and project management.

As a manager, I have had to understand people on an individual level, getting to know them and their needs to ensure I got the best out of them. All of this real-world experience has helped immeasurably with my coaching today.

My philosophy

My philosophy is a simple one. Helping one person might not change the world, but it can change the world for that one person.

Through my rugby coaching, I realised that my pride and satisfaction were not around winning matches or tournaments but in developing a player’s confidence, self-belief and enjoyment. In fact, I have always been passionate about helping others achieve their goals and get to where they want to be.

I believe in taking a compassionate and non-judgmental approach in all aspects of life, and that’s what I will do for you.
